Porta Verde, a resort located in Cavinti Road, Laguna is a place you would want to go if you are looking for a relaxing stay in the South or near the Metro. The property has 7 well appointed cabanas & villas fronting the cal, ming view of the lake.
We went to this place on a Friday going Saturday and I can tell you that its as if we rented the whole place to ourselves as the guests mostly comes in the late afternoon of weekends. If you want the place not to be crowded, I suggest going here on weekdays.
The staff are very accommodating, there's also parking space enough for the guests checking in and the view of the lake is just quietly beautiful and lucid.
The Cabana room that we availed did not disappoint as well. Air-conditioned room with personal fridge for your food and beverage, a scent for the room, enough closet space, comfy bed (with lots of pillows), nice lighting/ interiors, clean bathroom (with bidet, shower, soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash) and of course, the beautiful view of the lake from your own window!
Also, they have a terrace like space where you can prepare your food. FYI, this resort does not have an in house restaurant so you must bring your own food. Kitchen utensils and wares are available in the resort so no need to worry to bring those.
For dinner, we used the terrace like space in our cabana to cook our food.
In the morning, since we have our own food, we used the kitchen near our cabana to cook our breakfast.

Next morning, the whole resort being ours, we opted to take photos of the place to share in our Instagram feed. Just take a look at these photos!!!
The resort itself is also IG (insta) worthy!!!
Morning calls for a swimming dip in the pool. The infinity design makes it seem like the pool is connected to the lake which is so cool! Their outdoor jacuzzi is starting to be filled up around 9am. You can take a relaxing swim in this pool overlooking the beautiful lake!
Another attraction we tried was their kayak activity. You will need to sign a waiver for this and put on a life vest provided by their resort as a safety precaution. The staff will help you put on the vest and get on the kayak. This is so fun and calming at the same time because as there are no other guests around, we had the lake to ourselves (including some locals nearby) and we can see the 360 degree view of the whole lake area. You can kayak as far as you can and if you have troubles in getting back to your direction, you can just ask for help from the friendly locals also kayak-ing in the area. Aside from kayaking, Porta Verde also offers other water/ lake activities. Please check their website (details below) for more information.
It was indeed a very relaxing experience in Porta Verde. A very big plus on that we had the place to ourselves which made the experience more intimate and serene. Below are some general info about the place and their contacts if in case you want to visit here.
