As the last part of our night time skincare routine, our favorite sleeping masks/ pack are the ones that seals in all the goodness of the products while providing their own skin benefits so you wake up the next morning radiant and moisturized! Sleeping masks are the miracle workers while we sleep overnight and on this review, I'll give you my honest opinion on this product with increasing popularity specially for the k-beauty addicts. This is "Beauty of Joseon: Revitalize Sleeping Mask".

A little background first on the brand. Beauty of Joseon is based on on the book, "Gyuhapcheongseo", about traditional skin care of the top 1% class of women in the Joseon (Choson) dynasty. It aims to reinterpret the beauty that never changes over time and its natural traditional secret

Purpose:

The product claims to help boost skin’s hydration, elasticity, smoothness while also providing brightening and revitalizing effect. One of the reasons I tried this is because of this multi function purpose which is what I'm specifically looking for: brightening and anti aging! Looks like a perfect fit for me!

Key Ingredients:

Black Soybean: with anthocyanin and polyphenol to restore youth by improving skin's elasticity and protects from free radicals.

Ginseng: improves skin's self propagation, gives energy and vitality.

Orchid: makes skin soft and bright.

Honey: for moisturizing/ hydration, healing and soothing.

Packaging:

The packaging can just sell this product to you without even looking at its purpose and ingredients. Trust me, its so elegant and beautiful. Hands down, as a korean drama, kpop fan, this just sold me out. Look at how pretty this jar is with its pretty wrapping! Its too pretty I didn't wanna open it!

For hygiene purposes, it also comes with a plastic spatula and an inner lid.

How To Use and Consistency/ Texture:

Smooth the skin tone with toner after washing at night and apply an appropriate amount on the face and let it be absorbed into the skin.

The texture of the masks feels is watery gel-ish and gooey. You have to use the spatula as it would be somehow difficult to get the product from the jar by fingers alone because of its memory shape texture. This means that no matter how much you poke, dig or stir it up, it will go back to its original flat shape in the jar. The product is clear (or aopaque white) and does not have scent (or at least no memorable scent for me), which is a good thing for me as I'm not a fan of products with strong lasting scent. Its also not on the thick side on the consistency. This one definitely feels lightweight.

Results/ Recommendation:

On the brightening part, I don't feel this product gave me drastic results. It seems to give a boost though on my other brightening product.

On the hydration and moisturizing part, this one does not disappoint! You wake up with supple moisturized refreshed skin! For oily- combination skin though, I would suggest using this twice a week. Dry skin gals can use this 3 or more times a week. I recommend to pump on this product on the colder days.

This also does not clog my pores and does not break me out.

Lastly, on the anti aging part, I don't think I develop new wrinkles nor felt like it erases any of what you currently have. However, it definitely boosts my skin's elasticity which is definitely a good point. As I haven't finished the jar yet, I think I will give it more time to see if there are more drastic results that this product can give.

Overall, I will recommend you to use this product as it can be used by all skin types and at any age. Also, in terms of hydration, this will not fail you and because of the gorgeous packaging! You would really wanna get your hand on this just because of the beautiful packaging as if its really made during the Joseon dynasty era in South Korea.
